Tunisian Revolt Against Strongman Zine El Abidine Ben Ali Started Wave of Middle East Upheavals’

It can be traced back as far as the protests against longtime rulers in the Middle East. The it, that we are referring to, is the perpetual and domino-effect of the regions of Africa and the Middle East, and the uprisings that are constantly taking place over in that far away and often misinterpreted land(s).

Zine El Abidine Ben Ali

The first domino, if you will, was the January revolution that sent the Tunisian dictator, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, to a rightful and justified departure from the seat of power in this North African country. The wave of revolts and uprisings were set in motion by this one revolution and now there are a dozen actively revolting countries in both the Middle East and Africa with more seemingly on the horizon all over the world. What does this have to do with the United States? Plenty as far as political theories and government authority are used as weapons against free-minded and non-controllable peoples of the world; the American Republic is now being forced to look at their own symbols of power.
